There are many ways that you can volunteer with For Families:
If you are an advocate or practicing lawyer, you can hone your legal skills and help women, children, and men in need of legal support by volunteering to provide free consultations and representation to our clients. By volunteering, you may also receive discounts or free admittance to our training sessions on legal skills and preparing cases for international fora (e.g. the Human Rights Committee, CEDAW Committee, etc.), plus priority consideration in our future hiring processes. Please get in touch with us via our contact page.
If you are a domestic (Kyrgyzstani) student, you can volunteer to work with one of our professional advocates on client representation or support our work in other ways. If you are a foreign law student, you may be able to support us with policy research, preparation of cases under international law, mentoring of domestic law students, or propose a legal project relevant to the goals and mission of For Families. Please contact us via our contact page and include in the Comments field the words “Student Volunteer”.
If you are a foreign professional, you may be able to support us with policy research, preparation of cases under international law, or by offering training sessions to domestic advocates and law students on specific legal topics. Please get in touch with us via our contact page.
We also rely on volunteer support for our media development, fundraising events, and outreach campaigns. Please get in touch with us via our contact page to learn more about how you can help.
